Seuss Week 2021!
All of our Little Friends got to spend a week reading Dr. Seuss books and enjoying some fun, quirky, Seuss-y activities; from painting with feet to playing with oobleck, eating green eggs and ham and drawing under the tables for Wacky Wednesday, we got our sillies out while enjoying some classic Seuss tales!
While we know that Dr. Seuss' works are currently under fire and Theodore Geisel is a controversial figure, Seuss' books have sparked the love of reading in children for decades. Introducing a love of literature is so important to our school and teachers, so we decided to continue to honor the legacy of the books without focusing on the author himself or any of his inappropriate works. Books such as The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Fox in Socks, Hop on Pop, and Ten Apples Up on Top were enjoyed in the classrooms, and the coordinating activities were super fun!
Check out the pictures below-- all of our classes are represented! Enjoy!
