Letter "N" and Cutting Practice-- With Noodles!

The 3's class came up with a fun way of practicing both the letter "N" AND fine motor / cutting practice-- using cooked noodles! Each child got their own tray of multi-colored dyed spaghetti noodles and got to cut them into as many pieces as they wanted. The focus was on proper handling of scissors while having FUN! The students all seemed to enjoy cutting and playing with the noodles. After they were finished cutting their noodles, they glued some of their cut pieces down onto their letter "N" sheet to practice the long lines of the capital letter "N". Who says letter recognition and cutting practice can't be fun?? Not these 3's!!
